Our client is a strategic consulting firm focused on building business resilience through emergency management, crisis response, and continuity planning. They partner with public and private sector organizations across diverse industries to help them prepare for and respond to disruption. They are seeking a skilled Support Coordinator to join the team on a part-time contract basis to contribute technical expertise and support across multiple projects.


Position Summary

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for a well-rounded professional with hands-on experience in emergency preparedness, crisis management, and business continuity. The Support Coordinator will provide subject-matter expertise, support service delivery, and contribute to the development of high-quality client-facing documentation and presentations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and subject-matter expertise in emergency management, physical security, business continuity, and crisis management

  • Support the delivery of services and products across all phases: development, implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance

  • Draft and edit technical documentation including emergency plans, playbooks, reports, user guides, presentations, and proposals

  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and frameworks (e.g., NIMS, HSEEP, ISO, OSHA, NFPA)

  • Participate in collaborative meetings and contribute to problem-solving and planning efforts

  • Assist internal teams in achieving client goals and managing deliverables


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • 3–5 years of experience in emergency preparedness, response, business continuity, security, or crisis management

  • Experience developing and publishing emergency/crisis/business continuity plans for public or private organizations

  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience presenting technical concepts to executive leadership in clear, digestible formats

  • Familiarity with emergency management standards and best practices

  • Industry background in healthcare, aviation, retail, or higher education

  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth company

  • Professional certifications preferred: CBCP, MBCP, PMP, CEM, or similar
