Millworker Department: Millwork Reports To: Shop Foreman / Production Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (40 – 60 hours per week)
Position Summary The Millworker is responsible for fabricating high-quality custom wood components in accordance with client’s craftsmanship standards. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently. The Millworker works collaboratively with the production team to ensure projects are completed on time, within specifications, and to the high standards our clients expect. Client specializes in high-end cabinetry and custom wood projects. Team members must take pride in their work, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented shop culture. Essential Functions
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders
Set up and operate woodworking machinery (table saws, panel saws, CNC, edge banders, routers, planers, sanders, etc.)
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and sand wood components accurately
Fabricate cabinetry, millwork, and custom wood products to precise specifications
Inspect materials and finished components for quality and accuracy
Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
Maintain an organized and clean work area in compliance with safety standards
Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines
Assist in loading, staging, and preparing completed products for finishing or installation
Follow OSHA safety procedures at all times
Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and cabinetry construction
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency with woodworking tools and production equipment
High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment use
Qualifications
2+ years of millwork, cabinetry, or woodworking experience preferred
Experience in a custom cabinetry or high-end millwork environment strongly preferred
Familiarity with CNC equipment is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid driver’s license preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and manual dexterity
Ability to safely operate shop machinery and power tools
Work Environment
Manufacturing / production shop environment
Exposure to wood dust and noise (PPE required)
Fast-paced production setting with quality-driven expectations
